Great leadership often comes from within, and we have a dedicated program to support our existing and future leaders, including a partnership with Harvard Business School.
Our Wellbeing and Belonging programs will help you feel valued for who you are, and to thrive.
APM is a team of people across many brands and countries, united by a common purpose.
This provides our people the chance to be curious about what lies ahead and grow beyond the boundaries of a traditional organisation.
If you’re enthusiastic about new experiences and challenges, we can make them happen for you – be it working on special projects, a secondment, a move around the corner, or a move overseas.
APM is proud to celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion and the positive impact it has on creating a better quality of life, not only for our clients and communities, but for our people as well.
To us, belonging at APM means creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive workplace, embracing the fact that we’re all different, and making space for our people to bring their unique life experiences and perspectives to their role.
Our people are encouraged to join one of APM’s Employee Resource Groups to drive key actions that raise awareness and deliver outcomes that will shape our business.
We are committed to being responsive to Māori as tangata whenua and recognising the Treaty of Waitangi as New Zealand's founding document.
Using the Māori principles of Manaakitanga, Rangatiratanga, Kotahitanga, Whānaungatanga, Wairuatanga, and Te Reo Māori, our people are empowered to work in a way that is culturally responsive and mana-enhancing.
These principles complement APM's I CREATE values and support our purpose of enabling better lives.
We have an established Tai Tikanga Māori team that drives a comprehensive cultural programme that provides opportunities that grow the cultural capability, confidence, and competence of all APM employees, through exposure to our Indigenous knowledge and values. This includes:
- Quarterly mihi whakatau (welcoming ceremony) for new starters
- Regular cultural hui to build awareness of Māori culture
- Kaupapa (topic) of the week sessions that provide engagement and interaction opportunities to learn
or practice te reo Māori (the Māori language)
- APM-wide karakia (affirmations) to start and finish our working week
APM is proud to foster a thriving and flourishing Māori and Pasifika allied health workforce, and we recognise the importance of providing a supportive, nurturing, and culturally enriching experience for all our team members.
We offer scholarships to Māori and Pasifika allied health students to support their journey into the workforce. Read more from our scholarship recipients here.
