You will get to assess and provide rehabilitation to clients with a variety of injuries or disabilities, minimising barriers which may impact on their ability to work, live independently or engage in the community. You may work across a combination of community and vocational rehabilitation, paediatric service and also private referrals (depending on location). If you have experience or interest in Concussion Management, Mental Health, Pain Management Services this can be advantageous. Your work will include:
Our staff enjoy a mixed caseload with a range of physiotherapy and rehabilitation clients. We work with clients of all ages and backgrounds; with acute to chronic conditions, sedentary to high physical performance activity, and minor to complex presentations. We provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation across a broad spectrum.
Day-to-day work can include a number of physiotherapy practises i.e. manual therapy, needling, exercise prescription, functional programs, hydrotherapy, ergonomics, and education. Work may be based in the clinic, home, workplace, or out in the community.
Prior experience in a Musculoskeletal or Sports Physiotherapy Private Practice is useful but not required.

Working as a psychologist at APM offers exposure to various mental health presentations in the community ranging from general mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Psychosocial difficulties such as relationship problems and more complex presentations. Specialist areas such as personality pathology, paediatrics, ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties and functional presentations.
We use a range of interventions and approaches with our clients, such as CBT, DBT, REBT, ACT, and EMDR.
We are looking for dynamic and adaptable Psychologists with existing diverse skill sets and experience to service a wide variety of presentations, including anxiety, depression, concussion/brain injury, complex mental health, pain management and trauma. Psychologists must be registered under a vocational scope. We will consider your application and vocational registration based on the needs at the time.
Our registered nurses deliver pre-employment screenings, vaccinations, drug and alcohol testing, and provide key worker services under our Vocational Rehabilitation contracts.
This role involves working in a multi-disciplinary team and liaising with other allied health team members and ACC Case Managers. You’ll apply your clinical expertise and reasoning in written reports, summarising client assessments, goals, and progress.
Prior experience in Audiometry and Spirometry Screening is helpful but not a requirement.

You need a minimum of 2 years post-grad experience to provide services under ACC contracts. If you are a student or looking to graduate soon, check out our New Graduate Programme. For most of our community-based roles, you’ll need a full driver’s licence (NZ or AU) as you’ll be out visiting clients and workplaces. We have opportunities for full-time, part-time, or contractor positions.
